Bridge update

I spoke to several people over the past few days, and I have received the following details about the bridge:

The bridge was once at Pecan Street and Valley View Branch. About 1989, the bridge was washed away by floodwaters. According to their records, the Police have had problems with crime activities at the bridge for years when the bridge was in place. Some of the neighbors in the area of the proposed bridge want the bridge reinstalled; others do not.

Very interesting. I think that next I should try to find someone FOR the bridge and find out why. What is motivating them to support the return of the bridge?

I think understanding both sides of the argument is critical before I make a choice. This issue is becoming a good experiment.
